Obituary for Rex Guy Adams

Adams, Rex G., Jr., 96, of Pine Grove, WV, died Monday, January 28, 2019 at Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, WV.
Born in Smithfield, Wetzel County, WV, on Tuesday, Novemeber 21, 1922, he was the third child and second son of the late Rexie Guy and Ella Katherine Flynn Adams. On June 24, 1946 Rex was united in holy matrimony to Bernita Mae Garrett in Oakland, MD. He was a Pipefitter and a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local Number 83, Wheeling, WV.
Along with his parents, Rex was preceded in death by his wife, Bernita on November 30, 2007, his paternal grandparents, James Harvey and Virginia Belle Wildman Adams, his maternal grandparents, George Elzie and Lucinda Mardula Blake Flynn, his sister, Ruth Geraldine Adams, and brothers, Ransel Guy Adams and Rodman Lee Adams.
Surviving is a son, Loren Drew “Skip” Adams , of Pine Grove, WV, his daughter, K. Rochelle “Shelly” Henthorne and her husband Terry of Pine Grove, WV, grandchildren, Terrill L. Henthorne, Farrah N. Kuhn and her husband Will and Cheryl H. Carnegie and her husband Marcus, great grandchildren, Chalea B. Cottrill, Brayden G. Cottrill, and Asher G. Kuhn, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove, WV, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 PM. Interment at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Hastings, WV. Online condolences may be expressed at palmerfuneral.com.
