Mary Josephine Greathouse Saville, 85, of New Martinsville, WV, formerly of Wileyville, WV, went home to be with her Savior at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family on November 18, 2018. She was born April 5, 1933 in Endicott, WV. She was a Christian, a homemaker, a foster parent and a retired caregiver with the Wetzel County Committee on Aging. She loved taking care of people. She was an active member of Long Valley Baptist Church of Wileyville, WV.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Herbert Saville, her parents, Okey Lee and Ada Marie Dulaney Greathouse, a brother, Roger Lee Greathouse and two grandsons, Micheal and Matthew Wade.
She is survived by, three sons, Okey Wade and family, Ronnie Wade and family, both of Wileyville, WV and Michael Saville and family of New Martinsville, WV, three daughters, Debbie Wade Fulks and family of Paden City, WV, Elizabeth Saville Hostuttler and family of Wileyville, WV and Louise Wyckoff of Clarksburg, WV, two daughter-in-laws, Carolyn McKay Wade of Virginia and Diann Wade of New Martinsville, WV, two brothers, Homer Greathouse and family of Hundred, WV and Johnny Greathouse and family of Littleton, WV, a sister, Elizabeth Betty Greathouse Lowe of South Carolina, a sister-in-law, Patricia Collins Greathouse of New Martinsville, WV. She had 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was an honorary “Grandma” to all the children at church and everywhere she went.
She and her husband had opened their home to 50 foster children. She loved and bonded to each child that came into her home, but there were some who had a special place in her heart and became a real part of her family. She thought of you every day and loved you always, Stevie, Abby and Paul.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 11:00 AM til the time of the service at 1:00 PM at Palmer Funeral Home in Pine Grove, WV.
