Obituary for Gladys J. Ash

Ash, Gladys J., 87, of Folsom, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the United Hospital Center.
She was born July 6, 1931 in Smithfield, WV, the daughter of the late James D. and Myrtle (Whaley) Price.
Gladys was the wife of the late Reverend Paul A. “Bud” Ash (2-13-17) and helped in his ministry at the Lighthouse Church of God in Smithfield for 26 years and the other places he had ministered for over 50 years. She loved flowers, gardening, cooking and quilting.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda K. Ash, six sisters and six brothers.
Surviving is a daughter, Doris (Paul) Winans of Wallace, WV, two sons, Danny (Shirley) Ash and David Ash both of Folsom, four grandchildren, Melanie (David) Utt of Pine Grove, WV, Roger Hayes of Wheeling, WV, Karla Hayes of Duffy, OH and Kelli (Steve) Smith of Clarksburg, WV, three sisters, Patsy (Ed) Leggett , Violet (Bill) Floyd both of Wallace and Anna Mae Edgell of Folsom, ten great grandchildren, Kinsey, Kaeleen, Evan, Reese, Tyler, Clay, Zameya, Quinten, Emalee and Breckston, five great-great grandchildren, Trenton, Mary Jane, Alice, Kian and Riley, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday from 3-7 PM at Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove, WV, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment at the Lions Cemetery, Wallace, WV. Online condolences may be expressed at palmerfuneral.com.
