Obituary for Danny J. Dulaney

Danny J. Dulaney, 78, of Pine Grove, WV, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at WVU Medicine-J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. The son of the late Charles Robert and Oma Rush Dulaney.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, two brothers, Leo and Glenn and three sisters, Virginia, Velma and Helen.

Surviving is his wife, Floriene (Fordyce) Dulaney, a son, Brian Dulaney of Morgantown, WV and a daughter, Carrie (Michael) Tiger of Hatfield, PA. Two granddaughters, Kendra and Zoey Tiger. A sister, Joan (Terry) Aberegg of Port Orange, FL. Several nieces and nephews and a family friend, Jerry Yoho.

He was a 1959 graduate of Pine Grove High School and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was retired from Ormet Corporation in Hannibal, Ohio. He was a member of the Pine Grove Christian Church. Danny enjoyed his retirement hunting, golfing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Pine Grove Sportsman’s Club and the American Legion, Post 81 in Pine Grove. The family wishes to thank the medical and nursing staff in the Neuroscience Critical Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit and the Medical Intensive Care Unit at WVU Medicine-J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care given to their beloved husband/father. Special thank you to nurses Chris May and Hilary Findo.

Friends will be received at Palmer Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, February 22 from 2:00-8:00pm and Sunday, February 23 at 1:30-2:00pm at the Pine Grove Christian Church, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00pm with Evangelists Doug Lemon and Don Hitchcock officiating. Interment will follow at the Northview Cemetery at New Martinsville, WV. Online condolences may be expressed at
